The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires all states to have a “comprehensive Child Find system” to assure that all children who are in need of early intervention or special education services are located, identified and referred. Confidentiality of information is maintained in accordance with Federal Regulations 300.610 through 300.625.
Child find is a continuous process of public awareness activities, screening and evaluation designed to locate, identify and refer as early as possible all young children with disabilities and their families who are in need of Early Intervention Program or Preschool Special Education services of the IDEA.
To participate in an Early Intervention Program or Special Education, a child must meet eligibility guidelines according to the IDEA. New Life Youth & Family supports this initiative and for further information or guidance, please contact Michelle White 610-287-7884, Ext 1127.
